This blue and white series focuses on various women and florals. Inspired by vintage, black and white photos of Parisian cafes and other photography of ladies holding bouquets of flowers. I wanted to explore strong, independent women and play with abstract faces while reducing my color palette to only use blue. The simplification of the color palette gave me a new challenge and a way to create pieces in an innovative way. Incorporated into all these pieces are stripes and dots as I’ve always loved these more simplistic patterns which regularly appear in my work. If you love blue and more subtle artwork then these pieces are sure to be a wonderful complement to your happy home.
