Salt + Sea Soireé Collection

This collection stretched me as an artist and I can see that through that challenge this is some of my best work to date (humble brag;) With my love of the beach and everything coastal in my heart I embarked on somehow creating floral paintings that screamed beachy without actually being a painting of the beach. This is where images of quaint beach towns like Nantucket, Cape Cod and my favorite Wrightsville Beach flooded my head with images of blue and white linens, a blue sky, turquoise water, creamy sand and the warm glow of the sun.

I wanted to create compositions that would feel like summer beach parties. Enjoying seafood, chilled cocktails, arrangements of fresh cut flowers and the company of good friends. Celebrating those long summer days with quality time together in the salty air where everyone smells of coconut sunscreen. Each painting features various flowers from peonies to hydrangeas and everything in between. Incorporating various cocktails and wine created that party like soirée atmosphere that makes each piece buzz with happiness. Each painting is a summer party you can enjoy year round.
